1. Essential information about Us
1.1 The Kōrero community, found at www.mykorero.com is run by Māori Television Service of 433 East Tamaki Road, East Tamaki, Auckland 2013, New Zealand
1.2 Membership of Kōrero is free. You may only join Kōrero once.
1.3 To join the community, you must be 16 and above years old and have a personal email address.
1.4 Participation in surveys is voluntary. By agreeing to become a Kōrero member, you agree to receive invitations to participate in surveys.
1.5 You may unsubscribe from Kōrero membership at any time. If you no longer wish to receive emails about Kōrero, you may opt-out from using the Kōrero (including, without limitation, from receiving newsletters or communications), at any time, by: (i) following the unsubscribe procedures described on Kōrero platform; or (ii) (ii) by sending an email to korero@maoritelevision.com. We will use reasonable efforts to read and respond to each email request within a reasonable period of time after receipt.

2. Data Protection and Privacy

4. Using Kōrero
4.1 You may not copy, reproduce, republish, download, post, broadcast, transmit, make available to the public, or otherwise use this website content in any way except for your own personal, non-commercial use. You also agree not to adapt, alter or create a derivative work from any of Kōrero content except for your own personal, non-commercial use. Any other use of this website content requires our prior written permission.
4.2 You agree to use Kōrero only for lawful purposes, and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of this website.
4.3 You undertake that all information you give in relation to Kōrero will be as accurate as possible, and understand and accept that providing false or misleading information could lead to being disqualified from Kōrero.

5.1 The content of Kōrero, including the information, names, images, pictures, logos and icons regarding or relating to us, its products and services, is provided "AS IS" and on an "IS AVAILABLE" basis without any representations or any kind of warranty made (whether express or implied by law) to the extent permitted by law, including the implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security and accuracy.
5.2 Under no circumstances we will be liable for any of the following losses or damage (whether such losses are foreseen, foreseeable, known or otherwise):
(a) loss of data; (b) loss of revenue or anticipated profits; (c) loss of business; (d) loss of opportunity; (e) loss of goodwill or injury to reputation; (f) losses suffered by third parties; or (g) any indirect, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from the use of this website regardless of the form of action.
5.3 We do not warrant that functions contained in Kōrero will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that this website or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or bugs.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 The names, images and logos identifying us are subject to our copyright, design rights and trademarks. Nothing contained in these terms shall be construed as conferring any licence or right to use any of our trademarks, patents, design rights or copyrights.
7. Contributions to Kōrero
7.1 Where you are invited to submit any contribution to Kōrero (including any text, photographs, graphics, video or audio), you agree, by submitting your contribution, to grant us a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sub-licensable right and license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, play, make available to the public, and exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to your contribution worldwide and/or to incorporate your contribution in other works in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in your contribution. If you do not want to grant to us the rights set out above, please do not submit your contribution to Kōrero.
7.2 Further to paragraph 7.1, by submitting your contribution to Kōrero, you warrant that your contribution: is your own original work and that you have the right to make it available to us for all the purposes specified above; is not defamatory; and does not infringe any law. You indemnify us against all legal fees, damages and other expenses that may be incurred by us as a result of your breach of this warranty, and waive any moral rights in your contribution for the purposes of its submission to and publication on this website and the purposes specified above.
7.3 You agree not to use Kōrero in any way that is illegal or causes damage or harm to us or others. This includes (but is not limited to):

8. Market research activities within Kōrero
8.1 The answers you give us will be treated as confidential unless you have given your consent to the contrary. We will not send you unsolicited mail or pass on your e-mail address to others for this purpose.
8.2 As with all forms of marketing and opinion research, your cooperation is voluntary at all times. No personal information is sought from or about you, without your prior knowledge and agreement.
8.3 If you no longer wish to receive emails from Māori Television and Yabble about the Kōrero community, please "unsubscribe" by emailing korero@maoritelevision.com.
9. Security Techniques
9.1 We use cookies and other similar devices sparingly and only for quality control, validation and to prevent bothersome repeat surveying. You can configure your browser to notify you when cookies are being placed on your computer. You can also delete cookies by adjusting your browser settings.
9.2 Kōrero has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control.
10. Changes to and termination of Kōrero
10.1 We may make changes to the Kōrero website. In the event we deem a change, at our sole discretion, requires you to be notified, we will notify you by sending an email to the email address you provided.
10.2 If you do not participate in any surveys after 12 months we may terminate your membership of the Kōrero community.
11. Prize draws
11.1 As a member of Kōrero you may be entered into regular prize draws for participating in the community forums and completing surveys. We reserve the right to open, suspend or terminate such draws at any time without prior notice. For each draw, we will state the conditions of entry, prize available, dates competition is available for and date the prize will be drawn.
11.2. We reserve the right to update the terms and conditions of any prize draws from time to time by posting an updated version on the Kōrero website. Your continued use of the Kōrero website or participation in surveys and/or price draws after we post any such changes indicates your acceptance of those changes

Each year, you will receive an email from us or Yabble Limited, encouraging you to check whether your profile information is still accurate and up to date. In other cases, if you request a correction, if we think the correction is reasonable and we are reasonably able to change the personal information, we will make the correction. You have the right to opt-out of any research activity at any time. If you opt-out, your personal information will be removed from the applicable participants list. However, we will retain your personal information, answers and any other historical you have provided to us or Yabble Limited in previous research activities, unless you expressly request otherwise.
If you request yourself to be removed entirely from our database and research activities, we will respond to you with an estimate timeframe during which we will safely delete your personal from our systems
